PETROL
*
Car filled with anger
to knock people over with
carry the sick home
STARS
*
Lanterns in the sky
all hung up about moonbeams
eyes of a peacock
BREAD
*
When the gold runs out
no can buy the staff of life
better to pluck heads
PIGEON
*
Walking on tip toes
coming to investigate
no crumbs tomorrow
TIDE’S IN
*
Sea coming to meet
happily waving at me
bringing flotsam too
TIDE’S OUT
*
Sorry to leave you
everything that’s left behind
will pick up later
AUTUMN LEAVES
*
Green just yesterday
their season has run out
it shows in their veins
ELECTRIC GUITAR
*
Notes are being thrown
straight onto a cricket bat
tunes you cannot duck
ESCALATOR
*
Once on, can’t get off
choose which way you want to go
for life’s ups and downs
EDUCATED SLOBS
*
Fatten piggy up
feed him with finest clover
make nice sausages

You have quite a talent for haiku. Tide’s In/Tide’s Out iare really, really good, imo. I love the bit of whimsy.

Well that is encouraging, I had all but given up any idea that my haikus were any good. Luv Suz
