If I could show you a squirrel
in the eyes of a child
or damp your hand with a frog
brush your cheek with a dog rose, wild.
I would so like to walk with you
on a petalled carpet, barefoot
the sun and wind in our faces
where the grass is freshly cut.
Iron in the soul will not soon be got out
a hardened heart not easily soften
healing for hurt comes slowly
to one who has been bruiséd often.
Let me hold your hand
sit and talk a while
I will put my arms around you.
Lay your head on my shoulder, smile
and if tears should come my darling,
then cry your heart out love, just cry

Beautiful, as always. This is one of my favourites, I think.

Damp your hand, damp your face??? the repeat is not good, but nothing else pleases me in each context, it meant alot to me this one. thanks Bobby, your opinion is always welcome.

You’re the one who should correct my English inacuracy, you briton! — just kiddin
Anyway, I’ll stand with ‘beautifulest’ instead because that’s what you truely deserve; an enchantingly wonder friend with beautiful loads of poetry in her head and love in her heart named Sus.

Nay, I meant ME my unenglish, unstiff upper lipness, we are not meant to show any warmth of feeling we Britons.
The solution to all this is to create a new Babalicious blog.
BUT!!
Since you have mentioned it, your english has become rusty with non-use if I am not mistaken.
I know [if I remember correctly] english is your 3rd language and because your blogginess is absent it is not being so much practised.

My bad for missing CCU’s British Studies back at the college, then. Mea culpa.
As for creating a new Babalicious blog, who knows I’ll be able to do that someday.
Much love mad respect,
Baba
